Child Psychiatry Access Network (CPAN)

Program Overview:

The Child Psychiatry Access Network (CPAN) is a state funded program that provides consultative support to all primary care providers within Texas (physicians, nurse practioners, physician assistants, residents, fellows). There are twelve regional teams supporting the program with a centralized operational support hub to provide oversight.

Services Offered:

  • Telephone Consultation

  • Patient Care Coordination/Resources and Referral Services

  • State Funded Monthly CME Activities ~12 per month

  • State funded Spring and Fall TEAM ECHO programming

  • Pilot program for SAFETY-A training for PCPs to more effectively manage youth suicide

  • Piloting provision of face-to-face/telethealth clinical consultation and Perinatal Psychiatry Access Network to 4 of the 12 regions
