Child Access to Mental Health and Psychiatry (CHAMP)
Program Overview:
Child Access to Mental Health and Psychiatry (CHAMP) is a free phone line that offers consultations to all Mississippi primary care providers regarding the mental and behavioral health of their patients age 21 and under. When a PCP calls the consult line, they’ll be put in touch with a child psychiatrist or a child psychologist to discuss diagnostic evaluation, medication management, and/or gain options for therapy resources for the patient as a way to maintain the patient’s care in their medical home.
