New Jersey
Pediatric Psychiatry Collaborative (PPC)
Program Overview:
The statewide "New Jersey Pediatric Psychiatry Collaborative" provides quick access to psychiatric consultation and facilitates referrals for accessing ongoing mental and behavioral health care. The program is available free of cost to pediatricians and other pediatric clinicians. It is recommended that PPC members conduct universal mental/behavioral health and substance use screenings with children/adolescents during well visits. Participating clinicians can make a referral to their regional NJPPC "Hub" for mental health professionals to perform an intake and help patients or families to access services in their community. They are also able to do curbside consults as well as have ongoing collaborations with Child and adolescent psychiatrists for children referred to NJPPC.
