North Dakota Pediatric Mental Health Care Access Program (NDPMHCA)
Program Overview:
The North Dakota Pediatric Mental Health Care Access Program is a partnership between the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services and Sanford Research. We partnered with and utilize Family Voices of North Dakota as our care coordinators. The Child Adolescent Psychiatrists that are on our team work at Sanford Health. We also have neuropsychology and licensed addiction counseling as part of our consultation team. Consultations are available Monday through Friday 8:00 - 5:00 PM/CST. We provide an annual symposium and twice monthly ECHO sessions for provider training opportunities. In partnership with the ECHO program at the UND School of Medicine and Health Sciences, these ECHO's are recorded and stored on the School of Medicine for later viewing as well as on the UND YouTube Channel. North Dakota has a strong partnership with the ND Chapter of the AAP and we have reached out to the ND Chapter of the AAFM as well. As we continue to grow our upstream interventions for youth we have incorporated behavioral health work in nine full service community schools so far, with hopes of expanding on that in the future.
