Oregon Psychiatric Access Line about Kids (OPAL-K)

Program Overview:

The Oregon Psychiatric Access Line about Kids (OPAL-K) started in June 2014, providing telephone curbside consultations to medical providers across Oregon, regardless of the patient's age or insurance status. By October 2018, the service extended to adult patient care providers through OPAL-A. In July 2023, OPAL further expanded to offer developmental-behavioral pediatrics (DBP) consultations. The OPAL program is funded by the State of Oregon, Oregon Health Authority.

  • Telephone Consultation

  • Medication reviews for Medicaid

  • Foster Care Case Reviews for polypharmacy and other related issues
