Tennessee Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Education and Support (TCAPES)
Program Overview:
The TCAPES (Tennessee Child and Adolescent Education and Support) program is a project supported by the Health Resource and Services Administration (HRSA), to help bridge mental health care access in the pediatric population. To achieve this goal, TCAPES established a mental health team comprising of psychiatry consultation hubs in different regions of the state and the Tennessee Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (TNAAP). Our psychiatry consultation partners provide behavioral health consultation services to pediatric PCPs and assistance with finding community behavioral health resources while our TNAAP partner provide training for pediatric PCPs on screening and management of behavioral health conditions.
